Go to Sierra Nevada Brewery. You will not regret it. Also, while waiting for a table, take a walk through the facility.

It’s on my list of places to go. Breweries (even though here in Richmond we have over 20 already), and reasonably close to the Dragon.

Apparently the New Belgium brewery has a slide.

Ashville and Chattanooga are high on my must-visit list, posts like yours just confirm I need to get there soon.

Go to Noble Cider! Yes it looks like a steel prefab building off some random street but go anyway! The Mrs. and I were out that way a couple of weeks ago if you want any of the other places we went.
We actually went to Waynesville for a B&B but hit Asheville on the way in and out.

We’re trying to do some kayaking on friday and you can stop at the breweries while you go down the river. New Belgium is one of them and we want to make a stop there.

Been to 5 breweries in the past 24 hours or so. I could get use to this place.

It is pricey but it’s worth it. If you’ve got a car to run about in head down to Sylva. I’ve been there a bunch of times. It’s a really quirky town. Really, really pretty. Probably wouldn’t take you but 45 minutes

If you are venturing east of Asheville hit these guys:

Cider and Mead, yes its in an industrial park that will cause you to be like where the hell am I going but when the guy doing the pouring and explaining is the same guy that makes it is totally worth it. Its tiny so the only way to take stuff with you is a growler. When we were there we did tasted everything and walked away with a growler of mead.
